Job summary

Belong Didsbury is hiring a Team Senior Carer to join a warm, person-centred care home. The role is 32.5 hours per week with a mix of 8am–3pm and 3pm–10pm shifts, including alternate weekends, to support older residents, including those living with dementia, with personal care and daily care plans.

Join a friendly team; you may deputise for the Lead Senior Support Worker, help coordinate shifts, and contribute to a safe, respectful home where residents can live independently with dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people, especially in a dementia setting.
• Hands-on experience managing medication, including MAR/charting or safe storage and handling.
• Experience stepping up to lead a shift or deputise for a senior colleague, coordinating the household and guiding staff.
• Experience with care documentation and updating care plans, recording wellbeing and changes.
• NVQ Level 2 or a Care Certificate preferred.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Available to work alternate weekends.

Rate of pay- £14.45 per hour

The vacancy is for 32.5 hours per week flexi. Shift pattern is a combination on 8am-3pm and 3pm-10pm, including alternate weekends

What you will be doing... You'll be working in one of our households with a warm, friendly team as a Team Senior Carer. Working in Belong Didsbury you can make a real impact to the lives of older people; giving them the support to continue to live independently by providing excellent personal centred care. You will be experienced in caring for the older generation, especially in a dementia setting.

You will carry out a variety of duties include:

• Personal care
• Medication management
• Cooking
• Dementia care
• Deputise for the Lead Senior Support worker.
• Exercise
• Uploading day to day details on care plans

• Experience caring for older people, particularly in a dementia setting.
• Hands-on experience managing medication, including administering routine medications, MAR charting, or safe storage and handling.
• Experience stepping up to lead a shift or deputise for a senior colleague, including coordinating the household, guiding care staff, or handling issues in the lead's absence.
• Experience with care documentation and updating care plans, including recording day-to-day notes, tracking changes in wellbeing, and keeping care records accurate.
• NVQ Level 2 or a Care Certificate.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Available to work alternate weekends.
