Job summary

ABL Employment is seeking an experienced assembler for a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Concord, ON. The role involves assembling products, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will operate hand and power tools, assist with inventory, and document production data while meeting daily targets. This full-time contract offers a day shift schedule and potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Assembly experience required.
• Experience using hand tools or power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures while strictly following blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform basic machine operations and necessary adjustments to ensure the assembly process runs efficiently.
• Inspect parts and finished products for defects to ensure total quality compliance, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, adhering to all established health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including the accurate counting of components required for assembly.
• Track and document production data, such as units completed and time spent, ensuring all paperwork is precise and up to date.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to consistently meet production targets and project deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
