Job summary

Atlas Van Lines Canada, headquartered west of Toronto in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a proactive Rater/Customs Coordinator to support customs processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include reviewing invoices and manifests, data entry into the customs system, obtaining paperwork from clients, and preparing CBSA release packages. Full-time, with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education preferred and 2+ years of job-related experience are required.
• Experience with MS Office database, Excel and Word required.
• Experience with Candata is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Familiar with Transportation documentation and manifesting requirements (all modes).
• Basic knowledge of customs clearance process (all modes).
• Knowledge of HS coding.
• Accurate data entry skills with typing skills 60 w.p.m.

• Obtains customs paperwork by calling client when required
• Verifies documentation for rating compliance

• Provides accurate information and assistance to customers requiring information
• Processes entries to meet Company and Canada Border Services Agency compliance standards

Duties include the following:
