Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or science.
• Minimum of 5 years' specialty sales experience in biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
• Prior experience with rare-disease products desired.
• Proven ability to work with all levels of management and the general workforce.
• Strong problem solving and organization skills.
• Motivated, self-starter with ability to prioritize issues and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the sales forecast, market share and profit targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Develop and implement an effective business plan to meet company goals within commercial and regulatory guidelines for marketed products.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all key customers.
• Participate in business planning meetings.
• Provide professional representation at medical meetings and conferences.
• Maintain clinical and technical expertise in designated therapeutic areas.
• Provide in-service disease/product training programs for local medical staff, as needed.
• Travel 20-50% depending on geography and business requirements.
• Plan and execute educational activities.
• Liaise with internal peers (e.g., Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing) as required.
• Oversee all activities related to marketing and promotion of BioMarin products in assigned territory.
