Job summary

PrimeFlight is seeking a Ramp Agent in Kelowna to load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail, and guide aircraft to gates while ensuring ground safety and compliance with airline guidelines. You will support a range of ground operations, operate pushbacks and belt loaders, and read load sheets and labels in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

The role requires flexibility for shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Must possess a valid provincial driver’s license (e.g., Class 5 or Class G).
• Able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Able to access and interpret information on print and electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers).
• Eligible to pass a background check and obtain RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
• Willing to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repetitive loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail onto aircraft with accuracy.
• Operate ground service equipment such as pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
• Read and analyze aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels.
• Marshalling aircraft to and from gates.
• Ensure safe movement of aircraft on the ground.
• Follow safety protocols and airline regulations.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Lift heavy objects in varying weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and airline personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures for ramp operations.
• Adapt to changing flight schedules and priorities.
• Demonstrate PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
