Job summary

American Airlines in Toronto is seeking a Ramp Service Agent to ensure safe and efficient airport operations. You will load and unload baggage, support aircraft servicing, and coordinate with teams to keep flights moving on schedule.

You may operate ground support equipment and assist with de-icing where qualified. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work nights and weekends, and compliance with safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license as required by local authorities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearances.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Able to read and complete operational documentation.
• Flexible schedule incl. nights/weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Color recognition (red/green/yellow).
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, and transport baggage, cargo, and mail between aircraft, terminals, and facilities.
• Handle cargo documentation and complete operational paperwork.
• Perform data entry and maintain records for operations.
• Clean and service aircraft interiors including cabins, cockpit, and lavatories.
• Transport and replenish furnishings, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform exterior aircraft servicing and prepare for arrivals/departures.
• Inspect and monitor fluid levels and equipment.
• Support aircraft arrival and departure activities.
• Operate ground service equipment safely in ramp areas.
• May operate forklifts, buses, or de-icing equipment when qualified.
• Participate in de-icing operations with approved solutions.
• Follow safety and security requirements; maintain a safe work environment.
• This position is safety-sensitive.
