VIA Rail Canada Inc., Canada's national passenger rail service, is currently seeking 3 Railway Car Technicians to work at its Vancouver Maintenance Center, with the possibility to work in our maintenance center in Mission.
You will ensure our passenger cars operate at peak capacity year-round by servicing our national fleet through regular maintenance and heavy repairs.
The interior and exterior of our train cars require maintenance on components such as seats, toilets, tables, sinks, blinds, panels, piping (air & water), windows, brake rigging, etc.
We also train our specialized technicians to handle major components like wheelsets, couplers, springs, etc.
Hourly salary: $35.22 - $42.49 / hour, based on experience
Full benefits: dental, medical (including prescription glasses, drugs), pension plan, ride pass
5 personal days + vacation
Uniforms, tools, PPE (boots, glasses, helmet, vest, gloves) provided, along with free parking, shower/personal change room, and indoor lunchroom.

Red Seal certified tradespersons are ideal, but we also welcome apprentices to apply.
