Job summary

Canada Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company is seeking a Quantitative Risk Analyst to independently conduct analytics and reporting that support risk management objectives. You will work with large datasets to prepare and analyze information, develop regular and ad-hoc reports, monitor portfolio performance, and provide insights for business decisions.

The role offers exposure to senior management and regulators, with opportunities to apply programming skills and improve analytical processes

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (math, statistics, economics, finance, OR related).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, data analysis or reporting.
• Working knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python/R or equivalent data analytics tools.
• Proficient Excel data analysis and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production reports on key metrics for senior management, the Board, lending partners, and regulators.
• Support regular and ad-hoc analyses to monitor portfolio performance and the effectiveness of the adjudication strategy.
• Extract, prepare, validate, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and generate insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify data quality issues and assist in investigating discrepancies and improving reporting efficiency.
• Communicate findings clearly to Executives and senior management.
