Job summary

Evertz Microsystems (TSX: ET) in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking a quality professional to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. You will review burn-in results, maintain calibration records, and investigate non-conformances including 8D and FMEA.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of quality experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC standards, and PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole).
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification; ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQT) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001; review test and burn-in results; maintain calibration records.
• Investigate non-conformances, RMAs, and field failures (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA); manage CAPAs and MRB activities.
• Maintain ISO 9001-aligned procedures, work instructions, and records; support internal and external audits.
• Support supplier qualification and scorecards; resolve supplier issues including counterfeit risk, obsolescence, and PCN/EOL notices.
• Participate in design reviews, DFM/DFT, and first article inspections; support qualification testing and compliance (CE, UL/CSA, FCC, RoHS, REACH, WEEE).
• Analyze quality metrics (FPY, DPPM, RMA trends, COPQ) using SPC; support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of quality experience in electronics manufacturing
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC standards, and PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole)
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS software
• Experience in broadcast, pro A/V, telecom, or other high-reliability electronics is an asset
• Internal or supplier auditing experience is an asset
• IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification; ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQT) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is an asset
• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R, and ESD control is an asset
