Job summary

F&P Mfg., Inc. in Tottenham, Ontario, is seeking a Quality Engineer to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency in a fast-paced automotive parts plant. You will help manage processes, containment, and continuous improvement in line with company policies.

The role requires college-level engineering education or equivalent experience, welding process knowledge, and strong leadership. Competitive salary, pension, benefits, and on-site facilities are offered.

Qualifications

  • College-level education in Engineering/Technical Field or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Technical knowledge of the welding process.
  • Understanding of IATF 16949, SPC, Quality problem solving tools and APQP would be an asset.
  • Thoroughly versed in use of array of measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate incidents of outflow and ensure implementation of required containment.
  • Apply suitable techniques to determine root cause, temporary and permanent countermeasures. Review similar processes to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Assess manufacturing processes and interpret data
  • Lead in the implementation of welding jig adjustments
  • Monitor and disposition parts on QA hold. Report status to QA management.
  • Develop best practices, innovative solutions to improve production rates and part quality
  • Ensure welding processes are performed according to approved Control Plans and QMS Standards.
  • Liaison with employees and management members on quality related matters.
  • Participate in New Model core teams as applicable.
  • Lead in weld fit up reviews
  • Ability to be proactive and recognize equipment deficiencies
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed

Salary Range
  • $59, 000 – $70, 000 per year
Hours of Work
  • On-Site, Monday to Friday – (7:30AM to 4:00PM)
