Job summary

Winpak Portion Packaging Ltd. is seeking a Packer in Rexdale, Ontario to visually inspect, select, and pack quality products with accurate packaging and traceability. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards on an 8-hour rotating shift.

Eligible candidates will lift up to 35 pounds, perform basic math, and maintain precise labeling and identification on all boxes. On-site work at 26 Tidemore Avenue, Toronto.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, select, and pack quality products according to company and customer specifications.
• Verify product markings and quantities, ensuring proper labeling, coding, and traceability.
• Assemble, seal, and prepare boxes and skids for shipment, loading and unloading as required.
• Remove defective or non-conforming products and perform reselect or repack duties when needed.
• Maintain accurate identification on all packed boxes.
• Refill packing supplies and ensure efficient use of materials.
• Keep the packing area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Product Safety regulations and company policies.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or quality concerns to the Supervisor promptly.
