Job summary

Romet Limited, a manufacturing leader, seeks a Packaging and Shipping Operator for a 2 months contract at our Mississauga facility. You will handle labeling, boxing, sealing, and loading shipments, with forklift responsibilities if certified, and maintain inventory accuracy.

The role requires basic HS diploma, ability to lift, communicate in English, and teamwork across departments; we offer training, shift premiums, overtime after 40 hours, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and repetitive motions.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Collaborates with inventory, customer service and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
• Able to create shipping labels, track packages, and update records digitally.
• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklift.
• Able to prioritize tasks to ensure timely shipment processing.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in all duties.
• Good organizational and time management skills; strong work ethic and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Label packages with shipping details (addresses, barcodes, warnings).
• Maintain stock of packaging materials and reorder as needed.
• Keep packaging/shipping area organized for efficient operations.
• Wrap, box, and seal products to prevent damage during transport.
• Operate forklift or pump truck to load/unload products (certified).
• Operate hoist safely after proper training.
• Monitor and update inventory records for shipped items.
• Support cross-functional training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards.
