Quality Manager - Furniture / Carpentry products

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality standards in a custom furniture manufacturing company based in Toronto. This role involves ensuring product excellence, managing post-sale services, and supporting design and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of furniture construction, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Review: Inspect production and factory photos, cross-reference shop drawings, finishes, and standards to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
2. Post-Sale Service Management: Act as the main contact for post-sale services, coordinate with clients, and oversee troubleshooting with the China office.
3. Design Support: Collaborate with the Design Department on complex shop drawings, providing expertise in carpentry, finishes, and furniture construction.
4. Field Support: Travel across the US and Canada for installations, post-service support, and on-site needs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in furniture or carpentry, including expertise in furniture construction, case goods, upholstery manufacturing, and materials/finishes standards.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across departments and time zones.
• Proficiency in interpreting shop drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across North America.
• Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and the company's reputation.
