Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Quality Inspector – Building Division to ensure on-site construction meets the project Quality Plan and ITPs. You will inspect, identify non-conformities, and coordinate corrective actions while liaising between site personnel and the quality team.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Architecture background, construction quality experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. A hybrid work model is offered for corporate roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture is required.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry and quality management is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software is expected.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities are essential.
• Geographical mobility is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between site stakeholders and the Quality Manager.
• Identify quality issues and deviations from the quality assurance system.
• Ensure operations are controlled and followed through until resolution.
• Implement non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
• Perform site inspections in accordance with PRIE requirements.
• Report all site deviations to the Quality Manager.
• Prepare execution procedures required for the project.
• Verify on-site application of technical changes issued by professionals.
• Ensure work complies with shop drawings and submitted documents.
• Implement the Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Complete and maintain quality-related records and ensure follow-up.
• Conduct inspections independently with site personnel in accordance with ITPs.
• Compile and analyze data related to non-conformities.
• Supervise deficiency listings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor and follow up on site material procurement.
