Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Quality Inspector - Building Division to ensure site construction work aligns with the Quality Plan, ITPs, and contractual requirements under the supervision of the Quality Manager.

You will perform site inspections, identify non-conformities, and coordinate corrective actions while communicating with site stakeholders to support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• This role requires a bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience in construction quality management is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between site stakeholders and the Quality Manager.
• Identify quality issues and deviations from QA system.
• Ensure operations are controlled until issue resolution.
• Implement non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
• Perform site inspections per PRIE requirements.
• Report deviations to the Quality Manager.
• Prepare execution procedures for the project.
• Verify on-site application of technical changes issued by professionals.
• Ensure work complies with shop drawings and documents.
• Implement the Quality Plan and ITPs; maintain records.
• Conduct inspections independently with site personnel.
• Compile data on non-conformities; supervise deficiency listings.
• Monitor site material procurement.

Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector - Building Division ensures that on-site construction work complies with the project Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, and contractual requirements. The role involves performing site inspections, identifying non-conformities, and coordinating corrective actions until full resolution. Acting as a key link between site stakeholders and the quality team, the Quality Inspector actively contributes to the successful delivery of Pomerleau’s building projects.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between site stakeholders and the Quality Manager;
• Identify quality issues and deviations from the quality assurance system;
• Ensure that operations are controlled and followed through until complete resolution of any identified issues;
• Implement non-conformance reports and corrective actions;
• Perform site inspections in accordance with PRIE requirements;
• Report all site deviations to the Quality Manager;
• Prepare execution procedures required for the project;
• Verify the on-site application of technical changes issued by professionals;
• Ensure work compliance with shop drawings and other submitted technical documents;
• Implement the Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs);
• Complete and maintain quality-related records and ensure proper follow-up;
• Conduct inspections independently with site personnel in accordance with ITPs;
• Compile and analyze data and statistics related to non-conformities;
• Supervise deficiency listings and follow up on corrective actions;
• Monitor and follow up on site material procurement.
