We’re looking for a Quality Engineer / Source Inspector to join our dynamic team in Cambridge, Ontario.
In this role, you'll be part of a forward-thinking Quality Assurance team supporting a world-class QA system that meets the highest Canadian and international standards. You’ll perform inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives both remotely and on-site at supplier locations—ensuring quality from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform source inspections and surveillance of components, assemblies, fabrications, castings, and forgings to ensure compliance with purchase order, drawing, and specification requirements
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections, and review supplier documentation for completeness and accuracy
Execute audits and quality checks at supplier and customer sites, both virtually and in person
Develop, maintain, and revise procedures, work instructions, checklists, templates, and quality documentation to align with governing standards and customer requirements
Support internal quality management system processes such as vendor control, document control, and record retention
Identify and implement process improvements using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SPC, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis
Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address quality issues and nonconformances
Conduct training sessions to ensure production and support teams understand quality requirements and procedures
Support various quality assurance programs and initiatives across the organization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, document control, and shop personnel, as well as external suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies such as TSSA
What You Bring:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and quality assurance/control
Solid understanding of ASME Section III and Section VIII codes for nuclear components and pressure vessels
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and CSA N299 quality systems
Strong technical writing, documentation, and analytical skills
Proven ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives in a professional and effective manner
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[74,000]] and $[[116,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
