Role Description:

• Design and implement automation frameworks for testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data validation workflows.

• Develop reusable libraries and tools using Python, Robot Framework, and PySpark.

• Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.

• Collaborate with data engineers, QA teams, and DevOps to ensure testability and quality across the data lifecycle.

• Define and enforce best practices for test automation, code quality, and performance testing.

• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies in the QE space.

• Mentor junior QE engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skill Set:

• Required Skills & Qualifications: Good years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation.

• Proven experience building automation frameworks for data applications.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Robot Framework.

• Hands-on experience with PySpark for testing data transformations and distributed data processing.

• Proficiency in Selenium for UI automation and integration testing.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

• Familiarity with data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake).

• Solid understanding of data quality, data validation, and data governance principles.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Desired Skill Set:

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Exposure to BDD/TDD methodologies.

• Contributions to open-source QE tools or frameworks.
