Job summary

Pomerleau seeks a Quality Lead to support major civil and infrastructure projects across Canada. You will own quality plan implementation, document verification, and defect resolution, driving project success.

You will coordinate inspections, manage non-conformities with subcontractors, and ensure as-built drawings are kept current. A strong background in construction quality and +5 years of experience is preferred.

  • Educational background in construction engineering/architecture or relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience with construction quality management.
  • You have worked +5 years in a similar role.
  • CWB Level 2 (MANDATORY).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the quality plan.
  • Manage and verify compliance of shop drawings and other documents.
  • Coordinate inspections with stakeholders per ITP.
  • Handle non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Maintain as-built drawings and project deficiencies records.

As a Quality Lead you will support large-scale civil and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will be responsible in maintaining organized and efficient site administration, contributing to project success - you will have the opportunity to own the assessment of every aspect of your projects, from workmanship to materials, contributing to the successful delivery of exceptional results that exceed project expectations.

What you will do
  • Prepare and ensure the implementation of the quality plan;
  • Manage and verify compliance of submitted shop drawings and other technical documents;
  • Review the execution procedures required for the project and follow up on the methods proposed by the subcontractors;
  • Coordinate inspections with the various stakeholders required , and this, independently in accordance with the ITP;
  • Verify the application of technical changes transmitted by the professionals;
  • Write and follow up on non conformities and corrective actions;
  • Propose, in collaboration with the Superintendent and subcontractors , solutions to non-conformities raised or problems encountered;
  • Ensure, following the detection of a problem , that the operations carried out are controlled until the problem is completely resolved;
  • Compile and interpret data and statistics on non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions;
  • Supervise the recording of deficiencies , Ensure the maintenance of as-built drawings of the project.
