ABB is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead testing, verification, and QA activities for our Local Business Unit in Montreal. The role drives root cause analysis, improves design through feedback to Engineering, and ensures compliant reporting under ISO/IEC standards.

You will develop test protocols, train teams, and foster a strong quality culture while coordinating with engineering, production, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in quality control, testing, or engineering within industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Solid experience with inspection, testing, and validation methods for products and systems.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, IEC) and regulatory requirements.

  • Leads testing, verification, validation, and quality control activities for the Local Business Unit.
  • Provides feedback to Engineering to improve solutions and processes.
  • Supports and delivers quality training and promotes a strong quality culture.
  • Ensures accurate, compliant reporting of quality data per standards.
  • Escalates product quality and safety issues to stakeholders.
  • Develops test protocols and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
  • Builds a network of partners to support inspections.
  • Ensures safe work practices in alignment with HSE requirements.
  • Analyzes quality issues from a customer perspective and drives root cause analysis.
  • Fosters collaboration across teams and leaders and develops high-performing teams.
