Department: Quality Control

Reports to: Supervisor, Manufacturing Quality Control

Location: New Westminster

Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Quality Control Inspector, your main duty is to ensure Arc’teryx brand integrity by performing quality control inspections on products and raw materials at our manufacturing facility (ARC’One). Your responsibilities include inline quality inspections, water leakage tests, raw material inspections, and collaborating with quality and production teams to troubleshoot issues.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Manufacturing Quality Control team ensures all products meet Arc’teryx quality standards, aiming to provide a positive customer experience and uphold brand integrity.

Core activities include:

  1. Familiarizing with product specifications, testing methods, and quality control manuals.
  2. Performing water leakage tests on the production line.
  3. Conducting inline inspections for workmanship and defects.
  4. Performing quality inspections efficiently to meet daily targets.
  5. Recording results and completing documentation promptly.
  6. Notifying supervisors of discrepancies.
  7. Working with operators and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
  8. Participating in projects such as 5S and housekeeping.

Future tasks may include:

  1. Inspecting a variety of products, including waterproof garments, harnesses, and technical packs.
  2. Inspecting raw materials and pre-production processes.
  3. Conducting inspections in a down filling environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality control or the garment industry.
  • Accurate color acuity.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and solutions.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of a second language.
  • Understanding of Arc’teryx products.
  • Passion for outdoor activities.

Compensation: $21 - $23 per hour. The starting pay is CAD $21.00 hourly, with potential to increase within 12 months based on skills assessment. This range does not include bonuses or benefits.
