Job description

Department: Quality Control

Reports to: Supervisor, Manufacturing Quality Control

Location: New Westminster

Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Quality Control Inspector, your main duty is to ensure Arc’teryx brand integrity by performing quality control inspections on products and raw materials at our manufacturing facility (ARC’One). Your responsibilities include inline quality inspections, water leakage tests, raw material inspections, and collaborating with quality and production teams to troubleshoot issues.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Manufacturing Quality Control team ensures all products meet Arc’teryx quality standards, aiming to provide a positive customer experience and uphold the brand’s integrity.

Core Activities:
  • Familiarize with product specifications, testing methods, and the Quality Control manual.
  • Perform water leakage tests on assigned production lines.
  • Conduct inline inspections for workmanship and defects according to company standards.
  • Perform quality inspections efficiently to meet daily targets.
  • Record results and complete documentation promptly.
  • Notify supervisors of discrepancies between samples and production results.
  • Work with operators, team leaders, and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in projects and tasks such as 5S and housekeeping.
Potential Future Tasks:
  • Inspect various products including waterproof and non-waterproof garments, harnesses, and technical packs.
  • Inspect raw materials and pre-production processes.
  • Conduct inspections in a down filling room environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in quality control or the garment industry.
  • Accurate color perception.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry on a tablet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; tact and professionalism in difficult situations.
  • Proactive in identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Ability to balance autonomy with collaboration.
  • Commitment to seeking the best solutions.
Assets:
  • Knowledge of a second language.
  • Understanding of Arc’teryx products.
  • Passion for outdoor activities.

Pay range: CAD $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, with potential increases after skill assessment. This does not include bonuses and benefits.
