About your next Challenge as a Quality Control Inspector:

What will you do:

  1. Maintain quality control in accordance with established guidelines and standards;
  2. Compare products (incoming, source/surveillance and outgoing inspection) with released engineering drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by the project authority;
  3. Ensure timely and orderly completion of inspections as required by the business;
  4. Document any deviations, lessons learned or non-conformances;
  5. Prepare written reports of inspection results in a timely manner;
  6. Evaluate responses to inspection reports and perform follow-ups with respondents, management, or others, if needed, to ensure resolution;
  7. Respond to customer issues and inquiries with appropriate sense of urgency and business criticality;
  8. Perform hardware configuration management;
  9. Participate in test and validation activities to ensure product’s design is verified with agreed requirements.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience;
  2. Strong communication skills – written and verbal;
  3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  4. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
  5. Organizational skills, and cross-group work experience;
  6. Good MS office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  7. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Military or Nuclear industry quality standards are considered an asset;
  8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset;
  9. Familiarity with hardware configuration management is an asset.

The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  1. Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  2. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance;
  3. Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
