About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the quality system—including process control, regulatory compliance, documentation, and certifications. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of ISO/IATF and SQF standards, exceptional leadership skills, and experience in the automotive plastics sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead implementation and maintenance of ISO 9000, IATF 16949, and SQF systems
• Oversee product inspections, quality documentation, and compliance reporting
• Serve as audit lead and manage audit readiness across departments
• Develop KPIs and monitor quality metrics; drive corrective/preventive actions
• Supervise QA/QC staff and deliver quality-related training
• Ensure supplier quality standards and customer specifications are consistently met
• Maintain plant-wide food safety and regulatory programs (SQF, HACCP, Food Defense)
Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality assurance; injection moulding preferred
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9000, IATF 16949, and SQF compliance
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with quality systems software
• HACCP, SQF, and Food Defense training is an asset
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers is a plus
