Job summary

RBR Ltd. in Ottawa, ON, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to initiate, investigate, monitor, and report on quality issues. You will follow up on resolutions as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced environment with core hours 9 am–5 pm on-site.

The role requires experience in quality inspection of mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies, strong mechanical aptitude, interpretation of engineering data, and excellent documentation. A technical diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection for mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Technical diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering data and drawings.
• Proficient with computers and learning new software.
• Machining/manufacturing facility experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic parts.
• Use measurement tools to perform manual inspections.
• Verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Investigate non-conformances and close tickets promptly.
• Ensure correct disposition of defective parts.
• Collaborate with internal teams on corrective actions.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Review quality data to identify improvements.
