Job Overview:

The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring product and packaging quality for consumer sale. The role focuses on maintaining production standards to prevent contamination, testing product attributes and packaging integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing facility sanitation. The technician will also lead and guide hourly and salaried lab technicians and sanitation staff.

This is a full-time contract position for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical leadership in food safety and quality systems.
2. Lead plant efforts on product safety programs and issues.
3. Conduct regular quality checks and educate production staff on quality standards.
4. Ensure ingredients and packaging meet specifications before use.
5. Maintain food safety standards within the facility.
6. Adhere to Give & Go’s quality and food safety standards.
7. Analyze and uphold product quality according to procedures.
8. Perform GMP audits to ensure compliance.
9. Ensure high product and package quality within budgetary guidelines.
10. Promote safety as a role model in the workplace.
11. Recommend manufacturing practice improvements to ensure safety.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
