Job Overview:

The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product and packaging sold to consumers. The role focuses on maintaining quality during production, preventing adulteration or contamination, testing product attributes and packaging integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing facility sanitation. The technician will also provide guidance to hourly and salaried lab technicians and sanitation workers.

Night Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership in food safety and quality systems
• Lead the plant on product safety programs and issues
• Conduct regular quality checks and educate production personnel on quality standards
• Ensure ingredients and packaging meet specifications before use in production
• Maintain food safety standards within the facility
• Follow Give & Go’s quality and food safety standards
• Analyze and maintain product quality according to procedures
• Perform audits to ensure GMP and company standards compliance
• Ensure high product and package quality within budgetary guidelines
• Promote safety in the workplace
• Recommend manufacturing practice improvements to ensure product safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Recipe for Success:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline
• 1-3 years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up
• Ability to identify issues and resolve complex problems
• High energy and resilience
• Emotional maturity and integrity
• Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
