Quality Assurance Technician

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Execute individual responsibilities toward branch quality systems aligned with Corporate Quality, Industry standards, Federal regulations, and Individual branch requirements
  • Primary point of contact for all Quality issues
  • Participate in and lead, when necessary, self-inspections to resolve compliance issues and trends; communicate findings to appropriate employees and management
  • Participate and provide support regarding Corrective Actions, Audits, Customer Complaints to assure compliance with requirements
  • Investigate Quality non-conformances, resolve investigations, and root cause determination and remediation
  • Assist in gathering data and preparing branch prior to external Compliance and Quality Audits (Customer, Supplier, FDA or other Agencies, and Associations)
  • Writing SOPs and creating local forms for branch
  • Collaborate with and back up Operations Supervisors
  • Manage laboratory operations including equipment calibration, sample management, record keeping and the processing of samples with analytical equipment provided to meet branch and customer requirements.
  • Organizational skills such as analyzing data, prioritizing multiple tasks, and keeping accurate calendars
  • Ability to manage resources to meet timelines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and conduct detailed work activities in a laboratory environment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High School Degree, required
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance, or Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Packaging, or other non-QA areas is preferred but not required
  • Prior analytical laboratory experience including use of various laboratory equipment (GC, Density Meter, Refractive Index, Karl Fisher, and other equipment) preferred
