Base pay range
$85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
From award winning label and packaging solutions, to printed promotional materials, to direct mail, to envelope manufacturing ASL Print FX’s goal is to enhance and protect our customers’ brand. Based in Vaughan, our company’s primary focus revolves around crafting highly embellished labels for industries such as Wine and Spirits, Health & Beauty, Food & Beverage, Promotional, and more.
ASL Print FX is part of the AWT Labels & Packaging family, a North American corporation with nearly 650 employees, which operates facilities in Minneapolis (HQ - USA), Anaheim (USA), Grand Blanc (USA), Hauppauge (USA), South Elgin (USA), Winston-Salem (USA), Garner (USA), Ottawa (CAN) and Vaughan (CAN).
ASL Print FX has one opening for a permanent, full-time, Quality Assurance Manager, who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO standards and organizational objectives.
Who you are:
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in a Technical/Engineering field or vocational/technical equivalency in an area such as Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing Management.
- Experienced leading internal and external audits and managing non-conformances and CAPAs.
- Experienced implementing and maintaining QMS in compliance with ISO and other quality standards.
- Competent with ISO 9001 and FSC, as well as other quality standards and regulations.
- Knowledgeable of quality tools such as Fishbone, 8D and 5Y.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office productivity suite and generally comfortable with technology.
- Able to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers regarding progress, problems, opportunities, and necessary changes.
- Organized / detail-oriented / analytical / critical thinker / problem solver.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Superior communicator (verbal and written skills), presenter and negotiator.
- Able to train employees concerning quality system requirements.
- Safety-first attitude
- Team player with good time management skills, able to multitask while managing competing priorities and work with minimal supervision.

Assets
- Five (5) or more years of experience in quality management, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Four (4) years auditing experience and/or Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

Primary responsibilities
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and maturity of the QMS.
Training and Education
- Develops and delivers training programs to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards and internal quality procedures.
- Ensures staff are properly trained in Quality Management Systems and Quality policies.
- Supports ongoing quality education across departments.
Performance Monitoring
- Analyzes QMS performance data, including trend analysis, and presents findings to senior leadership. Provides quality metrics for the company’s Balanced Scorecard.
Documentation and Records
- Oversees the control, accuracy, and accessibility of all quality-related documentation and records, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Customer Focus
- Promotes awareness of customer specific requirements throughout the organization.
- Manages special customer quality requests, including product qualifications and responses to corrective action requests.
Change Management
- Facilitates change control processes related to materials, equipment, and procedures to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Oversees supplier corrective action processes and provides quarterly reports on supplier performance.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Supports the Compliance Specialist in ensuring all safety, environmental, and regulatory obligations—including permits, licenses, and training—are met.
Training Records Management
- Assists in maintaining training documentation, especially in relation to new or revised work instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
