Job summary

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is seeking a Specialist, Quality Assurance within Internal Audit to participate in audits, lead teams, and enhance governance, risk management and controls. You will develop audit plans, collect data, and report findings with strong client collaboration.

The role requires 5+ years in internal/external audit, professional designation in accounting or audit, and proficiency with TeamMate, Power BI, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent and 5+ years in internal/external audit.
• Professional designation in accounting or audit/assurance.
• Strong judgment, analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
• Project management experience and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication, presentation and negotiation.
• Knowledge of audit tools (TeamMate, Power BI, GRC) and MS Office.
• Awareness of IIA/CSA standards and related guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and/or lead audits, supervising team members for quality.
• Develop audit plans with risk assessments and objectives.
• Analyze information using auditing procedures and tools to meet objectives.
• Consult with clients for clear facts and observations, maintain relationships.
• Prepare reports with evidence and follow up on action plans.
• Research industry practices and stay updated on regulations.
• Support the development of the Risk Based Audit Plan.
