As a technology-first company, we’re currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.

The Role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at FTS, you will report to the Head of Data Management with the responsibility of ensuring that features meet quality standards before they reach the end user. Your primary responsibility is to test, monitor, and ensure the quality of our business tech solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and design application and software testing processes.
2. Ensure the overall quality of developed solutions through execution of all aspects of the Quality Assurance in every phase of the software development life cycle, from requirements definitions through to deployment.
3. Monitor system and software functionality.
4. Ensure offerings are entirely functional and provide quality assurance for software products.
5. Automated testing and problem-solving of various tasks that work towards a development process.
6. Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes.
7. Collaborate with dev and business teams to develop test plans and new approaches for seeking out bugs and exploits in end-user-facing applications.
8. Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems.
9. Implement feedback and changes whenever possible.

Experience/Skills Required:

1. 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
2. BA/BS degree in software engineering or computer science, information systems or system analysis.
3. Experience conducting quality assurance testing.
4. Strong knowledge of Jira, Scrum and Agile methodologies.
5. Strong personnel management, time management, and organizational skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
7. Analytical approach to troubleshooting.
8. Basic knowledge of SQL.
9. Tricentis certification and/or working experience is an asset.
10. Knowledge of automation tools, such as Selenium or any other similar tool is an asset.
11. Management experience is an asset.
12. Travel industry experience is an asset.
13. Bilingual French and English is an asset.
