General Duties:

Responsible for following Field Aviation's quality program requirements while performing duties and responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Promote the use of the established Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
  • Assist in inspection and follow-up of corrective actions and the implementation of quality processes supporting the QMS and quality objectives.
  • Maintain audit records in accordance with CAR 571 and CAR 561 requirements and apply AS9100D standards.
  • Provide quality audit data to support management review audits.
  • Monitor corrective actions for nonconformities to ensure effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
  • Perform audits of maintenance, manufacturing, services, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain audit documentation for monitoring the quality program.
  • Evaluate process or service performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during third-party audits.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with assigned tasks and duties.
  • Support other stakeholders in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Conduct offsite audits of subcontract suppliers.
Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience as Lead Auditor, trainer, or supervisor.
  • Internal Auditor experience within the aviation industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Formal training in the SMS system.

Education:
  • AS9100D Lead Auditor certification.
  • Knowledge and/or training in Canadian Aviation Regulations and AS9100D standards.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Regularly required to talk, listen, stand, walk, use hands, reach, and occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
