Job summary

To support our growth, we are looking for a QHSE Supervisor to join our team.

Responsabilities
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement in operational processes
  • Monitor and enforce quality control measures across departments
  • Support the preparation and execution of external audits (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Supervise the development and enforcement of health and safety programs in the workplace
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and mitigate risks
  • Lead accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices
  • Raise environmental awareness and oversee waste management, recycling, and energy conservation initiatives
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions on QHSE practices, regulatory compliance, and emergency response procedures
  • Maintain records of training and certifications to ensure employees meet required qualifications
  • Identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and ensure corrective measures are applied
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, provincial, and federal QHSE regulations
  • Prepare reports on QHSE performance, trends, and key issues for management
  • Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining and updating compliance documentation
  • Maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness of emergency equipment
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in QHSE processes
  • Monitor and track QHSE KPIs and support the achievement of organizational objectives
Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a QHSE role
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems
  • Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or equivalent are considered an asset
  • Ability to work in various environments (office, shop floor, or field)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to train and mentor employees on QHSE matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QHSE management tools
  • Advanced French and intermediate English (bilingualism is an asset)
