Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a QA/QC Coordinator to join the Calgary team. You will work directly with the project execution and supervision personnel to ensure work complies with project specifications and quality requirements.

The role is based in Calgary and focuses on concrete inspections, document reviews, and ongoing quality control activities. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or related discipline, plus at least three years in construction, preferably

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum three years’ experience in construction (preferably in inspection, survey, supervision roles).
Able to read and interpret civil drawings.
Experience using CSA standards and building code.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the project execution and supervision team to ensure work aligns with project specs.
Perform inspections for concreting work including rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, and readiness for pours.
Review and verify test results from 3rd party inspection agencies and documentation from subcontractors.
Support implementation of the Project Quality Plan and develop project-specific written plans.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports and coordinate with Bird team, subcontractors, and clients for disposition and closure.
Support deficiency process walkthroughs and 3D site captures to document project status.
