Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Alberta construction standards and specifications.
• Ability to negotiate quality matters and clearly convey points to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractors' compliance with the approved Quality Management System (QMS) and ITPs through surveillance and documentation reviews.
• Review and track NCRs and CARs, assisting with identification, documentation and follow-up of quality issues.
• Participate in planning and execution of quality audits of contractors' and subcontractors' work for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, project team members and internal stakeholders to communicate quality requirements and resolve routine issues.
• Review contractor-submitted Quality Plans, ITPs, NCRs and other quality documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Maintain relationships with project teams to identify quality concerns and support risk mitigation for successful delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

LJB Canada, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Mid‑level Quality Coordinator to join our Calgary, AB office. The ideal candidate has 5–9 years of project quality experience in a construction environment and strong interpersonal skills to positively impact the firm and its clients.

Annual Compensation: $90,000 – $115,000, based on experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Essential Functions

• Monitor contractors’ compliance with the approved Quality Management System (QMS) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) through routine surveillance and documentation reviews.
• Review and track Nonconformity Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs), assisting with the identification, documentation, and follow‑up of quality issues to support timely resolution.
• Participate in the planning and execution of quality audits of contractors’ and subcontractors’ work to verify compliance with project quality requirements and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with contractors, project team members, and internal stakeholders to communicate quality requirements, resolve routine quality issues, and support consistent implementation of project quality standards.
• Review contractor‑submitted Quality Plans, ITPs, NCRs, and other quality documentation for completeness and compliance with project requirements, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain effective working relationships with project teams to identify quality concerns, support risk mitigation efforts, and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in construction, engineering or a related field and significant quality control and assurance experience or an equivalent combination of experience and technical training.
• 5–9 years of experience in a related project quality role in a construction environment.
• Working knowledge of construction standards and specifications in Alberta.
• Ability to negotiate quality matters and convey points clearly and precisely.
