Job description

Position Summary

The QA/QC Coordinator will be responsible for executing assigned QC activities on the project site.

Position Details

  • This position is within our projects group based out of Airdrie.
  • It is a field-based role covering projects primarily in Western Canada.

Core Accountabilities

  • Implement QC requirements at the job site.
  • Perform pre-inspections to ensure all installed materials conform to standards, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct interim and final inspections with the owner’s representative according to inspection and testing procedures (I&TP).
  • Create hydrotest packages and witness all testing activities.
  • Review radiographic film.
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with QC and project requirements.
  • Serve as an accessible resource on QC issues.
  • Coordinate activities of the quality team with construction activities.
  • Prepare documentation and maintain files for final project turnover.

Qualifications

Education

  • Level 1 or 2 CWB certification is required.
  • Relevant technical diploma and/or trade certificate.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to pass an alcohol and drug test.
  • Strong client relations skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous record-keeping skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Pro/Blue Beam, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Safety Tickets Required

  • CSTS 2020 or CSO.
  • Bear or Wildlife Awareness course.
  • Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED or OFA Level 1.
  • WHMIS 2015 (training provided during onboarding).
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) (training provided during onboarding).
  • Fall Protection Training.
  • Aerial Work Platform Training.
