Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Facility Operator to join their Cynthia Gas Plant located in Drayton Valley. The successful candidate will assist in the daily operation, perform maintenance tasks, and ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Candidates should have a strong commitment to health and safety, with experience in natural gas processing and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Natural Gas Plant Processing.
• Strong team player with service orientation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean 5-year abstract.

THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Facility Operator to join our Cynthia Gas Plant in the Drayton Valley area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of the Cynthia Gas Plant.
• Perform intermediate to senior level operating assignments on plant equipment.
• Work with team on preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is running efficiently and safe.
• Operate the facility in a safe, economical and efficient manner using quality principals.
• Monitor facility readings, product sampling and quality control.
• Assist with contractor, driver orientation and supervision for on-site operations.
• Participate in review, modification or development of facility procedures.
• Support engineering and maintenance teams with various projects.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years previous applicable experience related to Natural Gas Plant Processing.
• Fourth Class inter-provincial steam ticket is an asset.
• Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision, as well as be a strong team player who is a highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail.
• Participate in the facility work functions as a team member with a focus on internal and external customer service.
• Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be an asset.
• This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract).
