Job description

Position Summary

Our Electrical and Instrumentation team is seeking qualified QA/QC candidates for work on a Cenovus site in the Cold Lake area.

Position Details

  • Work local to the Edmonton area
  • 48 hours/week
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office suite
  • CWB Level 1 certification is an asset
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Core Accountabilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform inspections outlined in the ITP
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Ensure installations comply with applicable codes and standards
  • Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment
  • Perform electrical inspections and tests
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bluebeam experience is an asset
  • Willing to travel to remote locations on shift rotation
  • Maintain documentation
  • Complete project turnover to clients
  • Verify that all site activities adhere to quality codes and standards
  • Distribute quality control documentation to site subcontractors
  • Provide feedback to management on QA/QC matters
  • Conduct pre-inspections and assist with material receiving to ensure conformity with standards, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitor work progress through QC audits
