Jeppesen ForeFlight, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer II to join the Application Development team in Montreal. The role is client-facing, hands-on with Python, and involves creating tests and documentation within an Agile framework.

Collaboration with clients and teammates is essential. The position supports a hybrid work model (2 days/week on-site in Montreal) with international travel up to 20% as project needs arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Python
• Working knowledge of Git/GitLab, Linux, and Bash scripting
• Experience with XML and JSON data formats; Familiarity with Agile, JIRA and Confluence
• Fluent English (written and verbal), required for client-facing work

Responsibilities

• Write, fix, and maintain production Python code
• Write and maintain automated tests (e.g., Gherkin/Behave)
• Document work in Confluence
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and resolve issues
• Use Git/GitLab for version control and participate in code reviews
• Communicate with team via Slack and JIRA
• Travel internationally up to ~20% of the time
