Job summary

Iris Software Inc. in Toronto (Hybrid) is seeking a Python Developer to design and implement backend services and microservices.

You will leverage GenAI tooling to streamline development, testing, and productivity while working in a Linux-based environment. The role requires experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL, MQ messaging, and a solid understanding of the full SDLC, including CI/CD practices and security concepts.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python development experience, backend applications and microservices.
• Experience using AI/GenAI coding tools to support development, testing, and productivity.
• Good Unix/Linux development experience and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with MQ messaging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Good DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Exposure to TLS, SSL, HTTPS, firewalls and application/network security concepts.
• Experience collaborating with third-party vendors and cross-functional tech teams.
• Familiar with Confluence, ServiceNow and SharePoint.
