Job summary

Vuteq Canada Inc. in Woodstock, Ontario is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join VTCA. You will work closely with Purchasing Coordinators to keep all documentation up to date and support cost control activities.

Responsibilities include data analysis, document management, RFQ coordination, total cost analysis and supplier development. A post‑secondary credential in Supply Chain Management is an asset, along with Microsoft Office experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (asset).
• Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare graphs or enter data for analysis as needed.
• Document management: create and update VTCA purchasing documents.
• Support VTCA team and Purchasing Coordinator activities as required.
• Assist RFQ activities: create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare quotes.
• Total cost analysis; supplier development including site visits.
• Coordinate internal and external communications; review customer/specifications.

This is a new position for a Purchasing Administrator to join our team!

Job Description

The Purchasing Administrator will be a key member of the team and will work directly with the Purchasing Coordinators to ensure all required documentation, forms, etc. are up to date and maintained. The administrator will also be responsible for supporting cost control activities.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000/yr

Position Description

• Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis, as needed
• Document management: create and update VTCA purchasing documents
• Responsible to support the VTCA team and Purchasing Coordinator activities as required
• Support on the Request for quote (RFQ) activities: Create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare returned RFQs from different suppliers, provide feedback to suppliers
• Total cost analysis
• Supplier development: Includes researching new suppliers, participating in supplier meetings, cost reduction ideas, site-visits
• Support communication internally with other departments and externally with suppliers
• Must be able to understand the required specifications from the customers, review drawings (internal and external)

Qualifications

Education

• Successful completion of post secondary in Supply Chain Managerment or equivalent is an asset.

Experience

• Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
