Job summary

Ketek Group Inc. in Alberta seeks a Water Transfer/Pumping Technician to support project sites and shop duties. You will assist with pumps, generators, and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and timely service.

This role offers full-time hours with 10- to 12-hour shifts on rotation (14/7, 14/14, 21/7 or project-based) and opportunities for career growth within a family-operated business.

Qualifications

• Valid class 5 driver's licence with clean driving record.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Oilsands site experience is an asset.
• Experience with dewatering, well-testing, or water transfer is preferred.
• Ability to tow a trailer and operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mobilization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and demobilization of well pumps, diesel pumps, and electric submersible pumps.
• Maintain, repair, install, and service generators, light towers, and heating equipment.
• Identify faulty/damaged equipment and inform the supervisor of the problem.
• Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner

Skills

Valid class 5 Driver's Licence

Experience towing a trailer

Experience operating a wheel loader

Experience operating a skid steer

Onsite oilsands experience asset

Education

Water Transfer/Pumping Technician

The Water Transfer/Pumping Technician is essential to the execution of routine tasks either on a project site or at a Ketek shop. This position is vital to the growth of the Project's Team and is an important step toward the employee's career growth and therefore the enhancement of Ketek's field team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the mobilization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and demobilization of well pumps, diesel pumps, and electric submersible pumps.

• Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform the supervisor of the problem.
• Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner

Qualifications

• Valid class 5 Driver's Licence and clean driver's abstract
• High School Diploma
• Experience working onsite in the oilsands is considered an asset
• Experience in dewatering, well-testing, or water transfer
• Experience towing a trailerExperience operating a wheel loader and/or skid steer
