Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with AQ (Air Brake) endorsement is a plus.
• Experience pulling a trailer and performing multi-stop routes is preferred.
• Trailering experience in related fields is an asset.
• Clean commercial driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 trucks safely and efficiently on industrial and urban routes.
• Safely pull and maneuver trailers in tight spaces and diverse environments.
• Navigate driveways, alleyways, high-traffic roads and areas with overhead restrictions.
• Execute precise backing maneuvers and container positioning.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety.
• Secure and transport containers following safety standards.
• Deliver and pick up containers from customer sites with proper placement.
• Communicate with the operations team regarding site issues or delays.
• Use app-based routing and reporting software for navigation and documentation.
• Keep vehicle and equipment clean and organized; report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure client sites are left clean and organized before departure.
• Assist with shop/yard duties and overflow routes as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pullout Driver (Class 5) to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, confident operating heavy-duty trucks, and experienced in handling trailers in various driving environments. This physically demanding role involves transporting large open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 5 trucks safely and efficiently along industrial and urban routes.
• Safely pull and maneuver trailers in tight spaces and diverse environments.
• Navigate driveways, alleyways, high-traffic roads, and areas with overhead restrictions.
• Execute precise backing maneuvers and container positioning.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Secure and transport containers in compliance with safety standards.
• Deliver and pick up containers from customer sites, ensuring proper placement.
• Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding site issues or delays.
• Utilize app-based routing and reporting software for real-time navigation and job documentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the collection vehicle and equipment, including removing debris, conducting routine inspections, and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure client sites are left clean and organized before departure, including removing any debris or materials resulting from the collection process.
• Assist with shop/yard duties and support overflow routes as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Q (Air Brake) endorsement is a plus.
• Preferably with experience pulling a trailer and doing multi-stop routes.
• Trailering experience strongly preferred (landscaping, construction, delivery, equipment hauling, etc.).
• Clean commercial driver’s abstract.
• Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of truck maintenance is an asset.
