Job summary

The Town of Norquay is seeking candidates for a full-time/part-time municipal maintenance role with year-round duties and additional responsibilities at Communiplex during winter. The position covers road work, equipment operation, grounds maintenance, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities include snow removal, ice maintenance, rink operations, and on-call emergency response. Certifications in water treatment/distribution and wastewater are highly regarded, with experience operating

Qualifications

Maintenance and operation of municipal infrastructure and equipment.
Experience with road maintenance and construction activities.
Ability to perform winter maintenance including snow removal and ice control.
Experience with water and wastewater system operations is desirable.
On-call rotation and emergency response awareness.

Responsibilities

Road maintenance and repair.
Operation and maintenance of municipal equipment and tools.
Mowing and grounds maintenance.
Maintenance of streets, sidewalks, parks, and other municipal properties.
Assisting with water and wastewater system operations.
Snow removal and ice control during winter months.
Participation in an on-call rotation and responding to emergency call-outs as required.
Snow shovelling and snow removal around the facility.
Assisting with ice installation and ice surface maintenance.
Rink maintenance and operation.
General maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the hall and Communiplex.
