Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort is seeking a Public Spaces Associate to maintain cleanliness across hotels, underground areas, base lodges, offices, and common spaces, while delivering friendly guest service.

The role includes mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, floor care, carpet cleaning, and responding to guest needs. Successful candidates over 18 with a valid G license may assist with vehicle duties. This on-site position offers shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Training/experience with floor care and maintenance would be an asset.
• 'G' class driver's license an asset
• Comfortable using large equipment/floor and carpet machines.

Responsibilities

• Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors.
• Carpet cleaning using spot treatment as well as larger equipment.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc., replenish bathroom supplies, and polish metal work in public areas.
• Respond to calls on hand-held devices from internal dispatch to clean spills, deliver guest items, remove broken glass, etc.

FULL TIME HOUR

• 5 shifts per week
• 8-hour shifts
• November- March

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Public Spaces Associate is responsible for cleaning public areas in the hotels, underground, base lodges, offices, Starbucks, and outlying facilities on resort. They are also responsible for providing exemplary customer service by engaging each guest; providing enthusiastic, friendly service; anticipating guest needs; and taking ownership.

• Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors.
• Carpet cleaning using spot treatment as well as larger equipment.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc., replenish bathroom supplies, and polish metal work, such as fixtures and fittings in public bathrooms within hotel lobbies, base lodges and office buildings.
• Respond to calls on hand-held devices from internal dispatch to clean spills, deliver guest items, remove broken glass, etc.
• Successful candidates over the age of 18 and hold a valid 'G' licence may be requested to perform occasional duties that involve the operation of a company vehicle.
