Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as the trusted technical advisor for government and education customers across Ontario, Canada. The role leads end-to-end engagements, guiding customers from whiteboard to production while addressing security, compliance, and cost considerations on AWS.

You will present complex cloud architectures to engineers and articulate business value to non-technical stakeholders, developing whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-sector speaking

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT development or implementation/consulting experience.
• 4+ years in technology domains (cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, data & analytics).
• 2+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted technical advisor for public sector customers, helping them design and build secure, scalable solutions on AWS.
• Define implementation, migration, and transition architectures aligned to customer missions and compliance requirements.
• Remove technical blockers and accelerate adoption through deep dives, proofs of concept, and knowledge transfer.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Develop and deliver presentations, demos, sample solutions, blog posts, and whitepapers.
• Work with account managers to ensure customer success in building and migrating apps on AWS.
• Help customers define technical and business strategies to reduce costs and improve citizen services.
• Share best-practice knowledge with the AWS Solutions Architecture community.
