Job summary

Sandbox Software is seeking a Business Development Representative to amplify our impact with libraries, municipalities, healthcare providers, nonprofits and other public sector clients in Canada.

You’ll lead outbound sales, write proposals, coordinate RFP responses, build a healthy sales pipeline, and ensure proposals address client challenges with clear value propositions. Hybrid role based in Guelph with some remote work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, sales, proposal writing, or account management.
• Strong written communication skills for persuasive proposals.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and project management processes.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement, RFPs, and bidding portals is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and objectives.
• Present Sandbox’s services, case studies, and value propositions.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through networking and outreach.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and maintain CRM records.
• Coordinate proposal responses and manage RFP processes with internal SMEs.
• Prepare and submit proposals and supporting materials.
