Job summary

Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) is seeking an Intern, Public Markets Operations in downtown Toronto for a 13‑month term from December 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027. The role supports investment administration and daily trading activity within the public markets.

Current students or recent graduates pursuing an undergrad in Business, Finance or Computer Science with at least two co‑op terms, strong communication, and comfort with data tools like SQL and Power BI are encouraged

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Computer Science.
Two or more co‑op terms are required or preferred.
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL; VBA or other programming languages is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication; detail‑oriented with data aptitude.
Proficiency in MS Office and related data tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with oversight and monitoring of custodian/service levels and supplier relationships.
Support full life cycle of daily trading activities and reconciliations.
Document and maintain operational procedures and trade support processes.
Assist Data Team with providing specs to build custody reports for new pools.
Identify and drive automation to improve operational efficiency.
Assist with planning, scoping, testing, and implementation of new internal systems.
