Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead education and practice development within the Eastern Zone, supporting knowledge translation and patient-centered care.

The Educator will design and implement education programs, collaborate with interprofessional teams, and travel across facilities as needed to advance nursing practice and standards of care with a commitment to adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Active practicing license with NSNMR required.
• CNA certification or willingness to complete.
• BLS-C (HCP) or RQI BLS certification required.
• Minimum three years full-time clinical nursing experience within last five years in Public Health Nursing.
• Experience as Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor preferred.
• Experience in education support, onboarding new staff and transition to practice is an asset.
• Familiarity with adult education theory and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, plan, evaluate and support knowledge translation to practice.
• Provide education programs and mentoring to staff.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to advance practice and standards of care.
• Travel to facilities within Eastern Zone as required.
