Job summary

Northern Health in Prince George is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to share clinical nursing expertise with teams, develop and deliver training, and support staff competency across the organization.

You will coordinate orientation, education programs, and the ongoing preceptorship/mentorship initiatives, while helping update care standards and procedures; travel may be required, and BC RN registration is essential.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing plus three years' recent related experience and two years' formal experience in adult teaching/learning and curriculum development; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Three to five years' experience in area of clinical focus
• Current CPR Certification
• Valid BC Driver's License
• Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, compile and deliver training sessions for staff.
• Create, implement and evaluate orientation and education programs.
• Develop and maintain preceptorship/mentorship programs.
• Review and revise patient care standards, policies and procedures; coordinate in-service programs.
