Northern Health seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead staff training and development at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital. The role focuses on planning and delivering education programs, updating care standards, and sustaining mentorship initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings senior nursing and teaching experience, CPR certification, and BC registration, with a commitment to patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing plus three years' recent related experience and two years' formal experience in adult teaching/learning and curriculum development; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Three to five years' experience in area of clinical focus
• Current CPR Certification
• Valid BC Driver's License
• Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, compile and deliver training sessions for staff to assist in meeting key competencies.
• Compile, implement and evaluate Orientation and Education programs for staff.
• Facilitate development and ongoing maintenance of preceptorship/mentorship programs.
• Participate in ongoing review and revision of patient care standards, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate in-service programs for continuing educational needs of staff.
